Moderators and Co-Moderators

Meet our international collaborators!

Cristina Costa

Hi Everybody! :-)

I used to work as an EFL teacher, but am now working as a Learning Technology Development Officer @ the University of Salford. And all of that thanks to my dear Webheads fellows. I have learned so much with this wonderful Community and made just great friends, that I truly feel a Webhead - in body and soul! I used to involve students in ICT activities. Currently I help academic staff in the efficient use of edu-technology. I believe technology can help educators to develop more efficient strategies to involve students in learning situations, provided they don't try to replace the humanware with the software! :-) Warm Greeting from a Portuguese in the UK! http://knowmansland.com

Hello from Japan!

I would like to welcome everyone to this great community. This is my third year as a Webhead, and I am happy to be a co-moderator for the second time. Each time I learn so much, and meet so many wonderful people. I teach both English and French, and am currently living in Japan. I look forward to another extraordinary learning experience.

Hello from Portugal!

I joined Webheads in Action in 2002 moved by Teresa's contagious enthusiasm and I've learned a lot since then. I've been teaching EFL for 34 years and have been coordinator and responsible for several ICT projects at my school. I enjoy producing educational resources and integrating technology and the Internet in classes. I was a co-moderator last year and I am happy to be with this group again. I hope to learn a lot with you and share some of the things I've learned so far. I started a blog for my students this year: http://myonlineclass.edublogs.org

Hello Webheads!

I joined BaW in 2006 for the first time and I am so pleased to being a part of this family. I am from a tiny country called "Tajikistan". I am from Isfara town, currently living in Dushanbe. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Education is my top interest. After University graduation in 2002, I started working as an EFL teacher at school and later in 2004 joined RISOL Global Connections and Exchange Program in Tajikistan in which I am currently working as an Education Coordinator. Hello dear Weabheads.

Photobucket

I am a Brazilian living and teaching in Brasília, our capital. I consider myself quite lucky to live in such a wonderful city and in this great country. I have been an EFL instructor for almost 20 years now. I took part in BaW07 and was the luckiest person in the world to be part of such a wonderful group of people. My first experience with EVO was in 2006 and since then I have been a big fan of the event and recommend to everyone I have a chance to. I love technology and as such I am a big fan of blogs, wikis, and podcasts. I love spending a great deal of my time creating things on the web and interacting with my peer teachers or students. One of the things I like about learning on the web is how accelerated it can be. I look forward to sharing some of the things I have learned and learning much more with you all. Hello Webheads,

I'm Kat Urbaniak and I'm a Scot living in Canada. I'm an EFL and Business English instructor and first took part in BAW 2 years ago. As a 'techie' before becoming a teacher, and a blogger for the last 7 year, I love technology (most of the time) and am an advocate of Blended Learning. I look forward to learning with all of you. :-) Kat. Email: yellowsmock@yahoo.co.uk YM: yellowsmock. Skype: katurbaniak. Website: www.katurbaniak.com

Hello dear BAWers, and welcome!

I'm delighted to be part of this fantastic group, this time as a moderator for week 3. I am Brazilian and although I have a degree in Journalism, I have been an EFL teacher in Belo Horizonte for the past 20 years, teaching mostly intermediate and advanced students. I joined BAW last year and you can't imagine how much I've learned (and still do!) from this incredibly supportive community. Working with technology is a relatively recent thing in my professional life and now I'm really enthusiastic about it. I wish you all have a great time here! Monica (blog: ProjectPlatypus)

Hello dear BaWers!

I am very happy to be here with you. I am from La Plata, Argentina. I am an EFL teacher who enjoys exploring and using Internet tools for personal and professional purposes. In 2007 I learned a lot and made many Internet friends with BaW07 experience, and this year I have the pleasure of being part of the co-moderators team. I hope you will enjoy this session. If you want to know about my achievements on the web, have a look at my blog: http://englishvirtualcommunity.blogspot.com

Hi All and Welcome!

I'm an American living in Portugal and have been teaching English for more than a decade. My first BaW initiation was in 2005 and since then I have enjoyed integrating the skills that I have learned into my teaching practice. My teaching has taken a "interesting" turn as I was recently employed by an international school as a technology teacher. It just goes to show you that the journey you are on can take an delightfully unexpected detour! Welcome aboard/back and I'm happy that we will be sharing our time, experience, and knowledge. Hello dear BaWers, old and new!

I'm happy and excited to be here. I’m from Nova Gorica, Slovenia. I have been teaching English at a small local college (Tehnični šolski center Nova Gorica) for the last 4 years. I started exploring technologies in teaching 2 years ago, when I took my first BaW. It was unforgettable and importantly influenced my teaching and learning. I came back for more last year and am here again now for round 3. I look forward to learning with all of you. My blog

Hello everyone.

It is a pleasure to work with you during BAW08. I have been in education for over 30 years. Each of those years has brought me new ideas and challenges. I have taught at Iran Dokht, a girls' high school in Iran, Dept. of Defense schools in Germany, and public schools in Ohio and Maine. I believe that technology should be a staple, not a privilege. Through my work, I am always striving to bring my passions, children and technology, together for the betterment of both. I love what I do. SharonsShare
